Photo Date: On 10 October 1972 Credit: Tim Martin Date Uploaded: 23 November 2015 Airframe: Douglas C-49K, s/n 43-2001 USAAF, c/n 06326, c/r N18196 Notes: N18196 at Winnipeg on 10Oct72 -- This DC-3 was built for Trans World Airlines in 1942 but impressed by the USAAF. First operator after WW-II was Eastern Air Lines and it is here in service with U-Fly Freighters of Texas with modified North Central Airlines cheat-line. In 1983 it was acquired by the Canadian Warplane Heritage where it is registered C-GDAK masquerading as RCAF Dakota KN456.
