Airframe: Commonwealth Aircraft Corporation (CAC) CA-6 Wackett Trainer, s/n A3-31 RAAF, c/n 265, c/r VH-AIY
Notes: CAC CA-6 Wackett Trainer VH-AIY was based at Broome in the far north of WA for 20 years, flown by Captain Horrie Miller,
founder of the WA airline MMA. Seen in October 1975 displayed in this building in town, suffering from the tropical heat and humidity.
Horries Wackett was later moved to Perth for display at the Aviation Heritage Museum

Notes: The airshow at Berwick that weekend in February 1975 was to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the first flight of the DH.60 Moth.
For the occasion, Joe Drage flew his DH.60M VH-ULM down from Wodonga Vic

N47058 was a DC-6B leased to Surinam Airways when seen at Miami in October 1979

Provincetown-Boston Airline flew DC-3s from Boston, and seasonally deployed to Florida for services to Naples, Florida

Notes: VH-ANH was flown to Moorabbin from Essendon in August 1972 after Ansett Airlines of Australia retired its last DC-3s.
Note the Wright R-1820 Cyclone engines, which Ansett-ANA preferred for its large DC-3 fleet

In 1989 as the museum was shutting down, both were sold to a US warbird restorer. WZ903 was registered N903WZ
