    Summary: The airframe was written off. The cargo flight departed Aruba-Reina Beatrix Airport (AUA/TNCA), Aruba and was destined for Panama City-Tocumen International Airport (PTY/MPTO), Panama. The accident occurred at Aruba-Reina Beatrix Airport (AUA) (Aruba) while en route. Narrative: The no. 3 propeller gearbox failed, causing the prop to separate. A broken propeller blade struck the no. 4 propeller, which also separated. A propeller then crossed under the aircraft slicing through the fuselage, cables, hydraulics and pressure vessel, damaging the no...

    Crashed.
    The accident occurred at CARIBBEAN SEA while climbing. The damage was substantial. While in climb at 18000 feet the crw heard and explosion and lost nos 3 and 4 engines. They visually noted that the propellers and portions of the gearboxes were also missing. They then shut down #2 engine due to erratic indications. They declared an emergency and landed. The gear boxes and propellers were not recovered from the CARIBBEAN SEA.
