    Constructed as a Spitfire 22 with s/n PK664 RAF.

    Transferred to 615 Squadron, RAF Biggin Hill, Kent.

    Damaged.
    While taxiing hit a ground sign.

    Assigned to for storage.

    June 1951

    Refurbished for possible export sale. There was eventual export sale.

    To Vickers.
    Vickers used the airframe for the trials of the Griffon 85 engine with the contrarotating propellers.

    From By 1955 to By 1957

    Transferred to RAF Waterbeach.
    Used as a gate guardian.

    Transferred to Central Fighter Establishement, West Raynham, Norfolk.
    Used for gate guard duties.

    From May 1962 to By 1967

    Transferred to RAF Binbrook, Lincolnshire.
    Used for gate guard duties.

    From 1967 to By 1968

    Used for the filming of the movie The Battle of Britain at RAF Henlow.

    From 1968 to By 1989

    Transferred to RAF Binbrook.
    Used as a gate guardian.

    Trans ground - Arrived at Duxford to be prepared for display.
