    Taken on Strength/Charge with the United States Air Force with s/n 56-0454.

    April 1958

    To Hughes Aircraft, Culver City, CA.
    - Sent to for upgrade to JF-106A.

    Converted to a JF-106A.

    January 1960

    Transferred to Convair, San Diego, CA.
    Sent to Convair for additional work.

    March 1961

    To Air Force Missile Development Center.

    Redesignated as F-106A.
    Used as a F-106A with the development center to support missile development testing.

    September 1964

    Transferred to Sacramento Air Materiel Area, McClellan AFB CA.

    January 1965

    Transferred to San Antonio Air Materiel Area, Kelly AFB, TX.
    Deployments to El Centro, CA, and McClellan AFB, CA.

    September 1969

    Transferred to General Dynamics, San Diego, CA.

    March 1970

    Transferred to Sacramento Air Materiel Area, McClellan AFB, CA.

    August 1970

    Transferred to 94th Fighter-Interceptor Squadron, Air Defense Command (ADC), Wurtsmith AFB, MI.

    June 1971

    Transferred to 2nd Fighter-Interceptor Squadron, ADC, Wurtsmith AFB.
    Deployments to Hamilton AFB, CA.

    March 1973

    Transferred to 191st Fighter-Interceptor Group, Air National Guard, Tactical Air Command (TAC), Selfridge Field, MI.

    July 1978

    Transferred to 318th Fighter-Interceptor Squadron, TAC, McChord AFB, WA.

    October 1983

    Transferred to 87th Fighter-Interceptor Squadron, TAC, KI Sawyer AFB, MI.

    April 1985

    Transferred to the Military Aircraft Storage and Disposal Center (MASDC) with inventory number AD102.

    September 1986

    Transferred to Tracor Flight Systems, Mojave, CA.
    For modification to QF-106A.

    Converted to a QF-106A.

    Transferred to Tyndall AFB, FL.
    Operated with markings: AD102

    Transferred to Detachment 1, 82nd Aerial Target Squadron, Holloman AFB, NM.
    Placed in inactive status with Detachment 1.

    June 1996

    Struck off Strength/Charge from the United States Air Force.
    Dropped from the Air Force inventory, but remained at Holloman AFB, NM.

    August 1998

    To National Museum of the United States Air Force Loan Program, Wright Field, Dayton, OH.
    Accessioned into the Air Force Museum System.
