    Notes: CF-NXL at Winnipeg on 17Jun70 - A product of the post WW-II general aviation surge, this 1946 Globe Swift was imported in 1963 and Winnipeg based when photographed. It later moved to B.C. then Ontario. In 1997 it force landed in NY State after engine failure then subsequently exported in 1998. FAA status is expired so probably rebuild abandoned.

    Crashed.
    The accident occurred at Yates, NY, United States while cruising. The damage was substantial. The Canadian pilot was cruising at 7500 feet overflying Lake Ontario, when the engine started to run rough. Due to better weather to the south, he turned south and made a forced landing in a field. An inspector from the FAA reported that there were no suitable fields nearby. The tailwheel had separated from the airplane and the wing spars were bent where they attach to the main landing gear...
