    Circa 1944

    Taken on Strength/Charge with the United States Army Air Force with s/n 44-77047.

    New construction number, 33379, assigned to the airframe.

    June 1945

    Taken on Strength/Charge with the Royal Air Force with s/n KN673 as a Dakota IV.
    At least one source gives the RAF s/n as KN690, but it is thought this serial belongs to c/n 16655/33403.

    To Starways Ltd with new c/r G-AMSN.

    To Mercury Airlines keeping c/r G-AMSN.
