    Transferred to No. 308 [Polish] Squadron, Speke, Merseyside, UK.

    20 August 1941

    Transferred to No. 71 [Eagle] Squadron, Debden, Saffron Walden, Essex CB11, UK.
    Operated with markings: XR D
    Assigned to Flight Officer William R. Dunn, the first American Ace of WWII.

    27 August 1941

    Damaged.
    Damaged by Luftwaffe fighters. P/O William R Dunn was badly wounded in this aircraft, but managed to get himself and his crippled bird back to North Weald.

    Transferred to Air Service Training E, Hamble-Le-Rice, Hampshire, UK.

    After 1 September 1941

    Converted to a Spitfire Va.

    1 April 1942

    Transferred to No. 133 Squadron, London Biggin Hill Airport, Main Road, Biggin Hill, Bromley, Kent TN16 3BH, UK.

    16 April 1942

    Transferred to No. 421 Squadron, RAF DIgby, Digby, Lincoln LN4 3LH, UK.

    17 May 1942

    Transferred to No. 164 Squadron, Peterhead, Aberdeenshire, UK.

    10 September 1942

    Transferred to No. 602 Squadron, Peterhead, Aberdeenshire, UK.

    21 July 1943

    Transferred to 61st Operation Training Unit (OTU), Handforth, Cheshire East, UK.

    A replica Supermaine Spitfire is displayed at Seymour-Johnson AFB, North Carolina, wearing the markings of P7308 while assigned to No. 71 Eagle Squadron. The 4th FW, which calls Seymour-Johnson AFB home, is the direct descendant unit of the original Eagle Squadrons.
