    Taken on Strength/Charge with the United States Army Air Force with s/n 43-5259.
    Shipped to Australia.

    20 February 1944

    Taken on Strength/Charge with the Royal Australian Air Force with s/n A71-6.

    Transferred to No. 1 Aircraft Depot, Laverton, Western Australia.

    17 January 1946

    Withdrawn from use.
    Received at 7AD Tocumwal ex 4CU for under cover storage.

    2 June 1949

    To The Zinc Corporation Ltd, Melbourne, Victoria.

    5 February 1951

    To Gibbes Sepik Airways, Wewak Papua New Guinea with new c/r VH-GSA.

    4 October 1956

    8 July 1958

    Destroyed in a crash.
    Crashed, destroyed in Mendi Valley, New GuineaA cargo flight from Minj to Mendi carrying a load of bagged cement. Encountered a thunderstorm, unable to land at Mendi due to the weather then the pilot became lost in clouds. Captain Ron de Forest was killed, the first fatality in the history of Gibbes Sepik Airways.
