    Constructed as a CT-114.

    To Canadair with new c/r CF-LTW-X.

    This serial number was retroactively applied to prototype CF-LTW-X, after the non-flying airframe was donated to the CF for display purposes. Pole mounted at Portage, Manitoba, marked as 114000, in Golden Centennaire colours. This airframe always carried civil registration while flying, but was sometimes marked as RCAF*000. The airframe differed from production standard Tutors in several ways, including use of a Pratt and Whitney JT12A engine instead of the Orenda built J85 used in production Tutors.

    Taken on Strength/Charge with the Canadian Armed Forces with s/n 114000.

    Notes: This is believed to be the prototype Canadair Tutor and was seen on display at Portage La Prairie. It wears the scheme of the RCAF Golden Centennaires which were formed to celebrate Canadas Centennial in 1967.
