    3 August 1983

    Crashed.
    The accident occurred at the Crystal Airport (MIC) Crystal, MN, United States while taking off. The damage was substantial. The pilot reported that during the takeoff roll, there was a slight loss of manifold pressure. This was followed by a loud misfire, a futher loss of manifold pressure a drop in the engine RPM. With an estimated 2000 feet of runway remaining, he elect to abort used heavy braking action in an attempt to stop before reaching a roadway...
