    Constructed as a P-80C-1-LO by Lockheed at Burbank, California, USA.

    Circa 1949

    Taken on Strength/Charge with the United States Air Force with s/n 48-0868 as a F-80C-1-LO.

    Transferred to 132nd Fighter Group, 173rd Fighter Squadron, Lincoln Army Air Field, NE.

    18 September 1950

    Involved in an incident.
    Accident took place at Ryan, TX, pilot Jack W. Hart, due to mechanical failure.

    Transferred to 132nd Fighter Interceptor Squadron, 101st Fighter Interceptor Group, Maine ANG, Dow AFB.

    21 June 1951

    Damaged.
    Hard landing at Dow AFB, ME, pilot Hartwell F. Dowling. Aircraft undershot and bounced onto runway. Aircraft written off.

    Redesignated as GF-80C.

    To National Museum of the United States Air Force Loan Program, Wright Field, Dayton, OH.

    The aircraft is painted in the markings of the 36th Fighter Squadron, 8th Fighter Group, based in Korea during the Korean War, as flown by John Mark, who funded the restoration.
