    Converted to a TP-51K.

    From 3 September 1949 to 5 September 1949

    Raced as #65.
    Competed at the National Air Races Cleveland in the Tinnerman Trophy race. The primary pilot was Wilson V Newhall. Qualified in 3rd place with an average speed of 387.402 mph. Raced in the B Feature race. Finished in 2nd place with an average speed of 379.735 mph.

    Notes: Wilson Newhall flew this P-51 Mustang in the 1949 Cleveland Air Races. He was a colonel in the Air Force at the time I believe. He had flown a P-63 Kingcobra at previous events. I believe this is a P-51K. Others can correct me if I am incorrect.

    Competed at the National Air Races Cleveland in the Thompson Trophy Reciprocating Division race. The primary pilot was Wilson V Newhall. Qualified in 6th place with an average speed of 387.402 mph. Raced in the B Feature race. Finished in 7th place with an average speed of 372.320 mph.

    Reported crashed and destroyed in Israel.

    The ID of this airframe was latter adopted by USAAF s/n 44-12852 c/r N90613. It is assumed the paperwork from an earlier point in time for this airframe was used to register 44-12852, and nothing of this airframe actually survived to be restored as a project in itself.
