    Constructed as an AT-6A-NT by North American at Dallas, Texas, USA.

    Circa 1941

    Taken on Strength/Charge with the United States Army Air Force with s/n 41-16066.

    To unknown owner with c/r N144KM {1}.

    From 13 September 1977 to 18 September 1977

    Raced as #4.
    Appeared at the National Championship Air Races to compete in the T-6 class, but did not qualify. The primary pilot was Kirk McKee from Sacramento, CA. When Kirk arrived from Sacramento he checked the oil and discovered metal chips in the strainer. As a result race #4 remained static for the rest of the races and another engine was installed to get the airframe home.

    5 May 1985

    Crashed.
    There was one fatality. The accident occurred at the Lemoore Airport (NLC) Lemoore, CA, United States while maneuvering. The airframe was destroyed. After dropping a parachutist to open an air show the pilots takeoff was delayed by a blown tire on a landing airplane and difficulties with filling his smoke oil tank. After completing about two thirds of his aerobatic routine the pilot recovered from a reverse cuban eight at a low altitude...
