    Assigned s/n 42-99498 with the United States Army Air Force for administrative purposes. It did not serve with this service.

    Taken on Strength/Charge with the Royal Air Force with s/n KJ379.

    Transferred to SEAC.

    One of 4 Stinson L-5s purchased in Manila - by Aerial Transport Co, Sydney NSW.

    Assigned civil registration: VH-BFR
    May have adopted the identification of c/n 76-1706 s/n USAAF s/n 42-99470.

    30 August 1951

    To Lionel V. Everson, Sydney keeping c/r VH-BFR.

    To Keith A. Findlay, Findlays Broadcasting Services, Launceston Tasmania keeping c/r VH-BFR.

    To Tasmanian Air Work Pty Ltd, Launceston Tas keeping c/r VH-BFR.

    1963

    Civil registration, VH-BFR, cancelled.
    The Sentinels have, for a number of years, reposed in the back of the Tasmanian Aero Club at Western Junction, gradually rotting away.

    1965

    Restoration started.
    Moved by road to Cambridge Airport, Hobart.
