    Constructed as a VIII by Department of Aircraft Production at Australia.

    4 January 1944

    Taken on Strength/Charge with the Royal Australian Air Force with s/n A9-557 and operated with these markings: NK-B.

    July 1944

    Transferred to Assigned to to 100 Squadron.
    Operated with markings: QH-L

    20 January 1945

    Crashed.
    Ran off the runway at Tadji airfield (PNG) - colliding with three jeeps and killing one person on the ground.

    From 20 January 1945 to 1974

    Wreckaged remained at crash site until recovered, in 1974, by Charles Darby.

    1974

    Recovered.
    From Crash site to Lae (PNG) to Chino (USA) via Victoria (Australia).

    1991

    To Robert Greinert/H. A. R. S.
    Moved to Sydney, Australia for storage.

    1997

    To Australian War Memorial Treloar Technology Centre, Mitchell, Australian Capital Territory.

    Restoration started.
    The original nose section of this aircraft went to the RAF Museum in Hendon (UK) and was replaced with a similar section from A9-152 ex Moorabbin Museum.

    28 March 2003

    Restoration completed.
