Notes: Repair carried out by me and my team from 431 MU RAF Bruggen at RAF Gutersloh Germany over an 5 month period in about 1989. This aircraft was unable to lower its main u/c and had to land vertically without wheels. She had a centreline recce pod fitted, if I remember correctly, which was unfortunate as it pushed the centre pylon up into the fuselage damaging frames 19, 20, 21, 22 and 23

Notes: Partial replacement of 5 frames, the most complex was frame 19 pictured, which was manufactured at the workshops in RAF Bruggen and cut and drilled by Alan Brakes, Chalky White and myself. If I remember correctly it also has a steel reinforcing plate. As it was supplied to us blank we had to pick up all the rivet and bolt holes.
