Notes: Aero Club of Southern Tasmania at Hobart also had Chipmunks. This was one of theirs, seen at Benalla Vic in March 1969 now with a private owner, painted with an unconvincing Flying Tigers sharks mouth on the cowlings.

    20 April 1987

    Photographer: David Tanner
    Notes: At Kyabram Airport

    4 December 1988

    Destroyed in a crash.
Sadly, Mr. W. N. Sherwill (pilot and registered owner) was killed when his aircraft failed to complete a low level loop and struck the ground soon after taking off from a private airstrip at Shepperton North, near St. James, Victoria, Australia. The aircraft impacted the ground in a south westerly direction with a nose-low, wings level attitude. It then bounced off the ground and came to rest in about 10 metres with the engine dislodged from the airframe and the landing gear collapsed. Wreckage reported to be still in existence at Tocumwal Aerodrome (seen there 26/4/1998).
