    Constructed as a C-130E-LM by Lockheed at Marietta, GA.

    Circa 1969

    Taken on Strength/Charge with the United States Air Force with s/n 69-6575.

    To 64th Tactical Airlift Wing, Sewart Air Force Base, TN.
    Markings added: ST

    By January 1971

    Converted to an AC-130E.
    Converted under Project Pave Spectre and fitted with low light level television and forward-looking infrared.

    By February 1972

    Transferred to 16th Special Operations Squadron, 8th Tactical Fighter Wing, Ubon Royal Thai Air Force Base, Thailand.
    Flew in numerous combat missions over Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia.

    Base of operations changed.
    Korat Royal Thai Air Force Base, Thailand.

    1973

    Converted to an AC-130H.
    Converted under Project Pave Spectre II. This aircraft was the first AC-130E to be modified to the AC-130H configuration.

    From Circa 1973 to Circa 1975

    Transferred to 415th Special Operations Training Squadron, 1st SOW, Hurlburt Field, FL.

    Transferred to 16th SOS, 1st SOW, Hurlburt Field, FL.

    April 1980

    It was one of four AC-130s to support the Iran Hostage Rescue mission (Operation Eagle Claw) in April of 1980.

    From 25 October 1983 to 29 October 1983

    69-6575 was the lead AC-130 during operation Urgent Fury in Grenada.

    From 2 August 1990 to 28 February 1991

    Flew several combat missions during Desert Storm, most notably during the Battle of Khafji, where it flew with the callsign Spirit 02.

    After 11 September 2001

    Flew missions over Afghanistan in the years following 9/11/01 until it was retired.
