    Taken on Strength/Charge with the United States Air Force with s/n 56-2009.

    November 1958

    Transferred to 1607th Air Transport Wing (Heavy), Military Air Transport Service, Dover AFB, DE.

    8 January 1966

    Transferred to 436th Military Airlift Wing, Military Airlift Command, Dover AFB, DE.
    Reorganization which included 1607th ATW.

    17 April 1971

    Transferred to Chanute Technical Training Center, Chanute AFB, Rantoul, IL.
    Retired to Chanute--training aircraft in maintenance programs and firefighter training.

    June 1977

    To National Museum of the United States Air Force Loan Program, Wright Field, Dayton, OH.
    Remained on display at Chanute AFB Air Park.
