    Constructed as a C-47-DL by Douglas at Long Beach, California, USA.

    24 February 1943

    Taken on Strength/Charge with the United States Army Air Force with s/n 42-32892.

    To Aeroflot, Krasnoyarsk Civil Aviation Directorate with new c/r.

    12 March 1943

    Taken on Strength/Charge with the Voenno-Vozdushnye Sily with s/n USSR-H-328.
    Transferred under the lend-lease programm.

    16 April 1943

    Transferred to 7th Arctic Aviation Regiment, 1st Air Division.
    Was enlisted by the Office of Polar Aviation to conduct ice reconnaissance.

    From 22 October 1943 to 1 November 1943

    Explored the Kara Sea under the command of the pilot, MA Titlova.

    From 3 June 1944 to 24 July 1944

    Made further sorties from bases in Anderme for further reconnaissance of the Kara Sea.

    1945

    Transferred to Chukotka Polar Air Arm.

    Assigned civil registration: CCCP-A-3072
    Assigned a new number at Chukotka.

    By 13 April 1947

    To Aeroflot, Krasnoyarsk Civil Aviation Directorate with new c/r CCCP-L1204.

    13 April 1947

    Crashed.
    Summary: The airframe was written off. There were nine fatalities. This was a domestic scheduled passenger flight. The accident occurred at N of Volochanka Village, Taymyr Peninsula (Russia) while en route. Narrative: A Douglas C-47-DL transport plane was damaged beyond repair in a forced landing. The crew had to make a forced landing following failure of engine no. 1. All occupants survived the forced landing, but nine died of while searching for help in the snowy tundra. The remaining 28 occupants were rescued after twenty days...

The accident occurred at 180 km (112. 5 mls) N of Volochanka Village, Taymyr Peninsula (Russia) while en route. Narrative: A Douglas C-47-DL transport plane was damaged beyond repair in a forced landing in the Taymyr Peninsula in Russia. The aircraft operated on a flight from Kosisty to Krasnoyarsk with en route stops at Khatanga, Dudinka and Turukhansk...
