    6 June 1944

    Aidan Sigmund comments (2 March 2024): Took part in the airborne assault on Normandy during Operation Overlord. This aircraft dropped paratroopers from the 1st Battalion, 508th Parachute Infantry Regiment of the 82nd Airborne Division onto Drop Zone N at about 2:20 AM. During this mission, the pilot was 1st Lieutenant Samuel M. Willis Jr.

    Converted to a DC-3A.
