    Destroyed in a crash.
    Crashed on Mt. Dandenong Victoria en-route Adelaide-Essendon, in very bad weather, killing 18 people.

    Summary: The airframe was written off. There were 18 fatalities. The domestic scheduled passenger flight departed Adelaide Airport, SA (ADL/YPAD), Australia and was destined for Melbourne-Essendon Airport, VIC (MEB/YMEN), Australia. The accident occurred at Mt Dandenong, VIC (Australia) while en route. Narrative: En route from Adelaide to Melbourne, the DC-2 named Kyeema lost its visual bearings while trying to locate Essendon Airport. It was on the wrong heading and after entering cloud, impacted the top of Mount Dandenong, 50 km east of Melbourne and approximately 45 km south east of the airfield at Essendon...
