    Taken on Strength/Charge with the United States Army Air Corps with s/n 26-431.

    Markings Applied: San Francsico

    From 21 December 1926 to 2 May 1927

    Was one of 5 OA-1As departing San Antonio, TX on a 22,000 mile good-will tour of to 25 Central and South American countries. Flown by Capt Ira C. Eaker and Lt Muir S. Fairchild. Returned to Bolling Field, Washington DC.This aircraft and other four were awarded the MacKay Trophy, and all crew awarded DFC.

    To National Air Museum, Washington, DC.

    From 1964 to 1965

    Restored.

    By June 1977

    Loaned to National Museum of the United States Air Force, Wright Field, Dayton, OH.
