    Constructed as a VC-140B-LM by Lockheed at Marietta, GA, USA.

    October 1961

    Taken on Strength/Charge with the United States Air Force with s/n 61-2488.

    October 1961

    Transferred to 89th Airlift Wing, Andrews AFB, MD.
    Carried Presidents Johnson, Nixon, Ford and Carter a number of times, although it was not the primary presidential aircraft. President Johnson in particular preferred this aircraft for trips to his ranch in Texas and used it often. Whenever the President was on board, it flew under the call sign Air Force One.

    Redesignated as C-140B.

    1984

    Withdrawn from use.

    Transferred to the Military Aircraft Storage and Disposal Center (MASDC) with inventory number CL0001.

    1985

    To National Museum of the United States Air Force Loan Program, Wright Field, Dayton, OH.
