    Constructed as a Tempest II by Hawker at Langley, Berks.

    1945

    Taken on Strength/Charge with the Royal Air Force with s/n PR536.

    From Circa 1945 to 1947

    Transferred to No 5 Squadron RAF, Peshawar, India.
    Operated with markings: OQ G

    20 September 1947

    Taken on Strength/Charge with the Indian Air Force with s/n HA457.

    Circa 1953

    Withdrawn from front-line service.

    From 1969 to By 1977

    Transferred to Poona AB, India.
    In open storage at Poona and later used as an airfield decoy.

    1976

    To Warbirds of Great Britain/Doug Arnold.
    Acquired by Doug Arnold when the Indian Government Department of Defence sold a larger number of surplus airframes, now derelict is most cases.

    1979

    Moved from India to Blackbushe.

    To Tangmere Flight/E. Nick Grace, Tangmere.

    To RAF Museum Store, RAF Cardington.

    The forward fuselage of PR535 was used along with the rear fuselage of a Tempest from the Royal Navy Engineering College, Manadon, and the wings obtained directly from India earlier in 1971.

    Moved to Duxford.

    From 1990 to 2001

    Restored.
    Markings Applied: PR536
    Restored to static display condition at Duxford.

    From 1990 to 1991

    To The Fighter Collection, Duxford.
