    Originally built for Imperial Iranian AF, but impounded after the fall of the Shah in 1979 and were acquired in 1985 by US government.

    New construction number, B744, assigned to the airframe.

    Taken on Strength/Charge with the United States Army with s/n 85-24744.

    May 1992

    Transferred to Pennsylvania Army National Guard.

    Transferred to Boeing/Vertol, PA.

    Remanufactured as a CH-47D.
    New construction number, M3438, assigned to the airframe.

    7 September 1993

    Taken on Strength/Charge with the United States Army with s/n 92-00297.

    20 September 1993

    Transferred to 2nd Battalion, 149th Aviation Regiment (ARNG), Hensley Field, Grand Prairie, Dallas, TX.
