    Transferred to U. S. 9th Air Force.
    Possibly transferred in preparation for D-Day.

    Participated in the D-Day invasion, dropping members of the 507th Parachute Infantry Regiment of the 82nd Airborne Division.

    From December 1944 to January 1945

    Participated in the Battle of the Bulge.

    17 August 1945

    Returned to USA.

    31 October 1945

    Transferred to Reconstruction Finance Corp.

    From November 1945 to June 1977

    To Kerr McGee Oil Industry Inc with c/r NC65162.

    5 July 1950

    Certificate of airworthiness for N65162 (DC3C, 12683) issued.
