    Constructed as an A-7E-9-CV by Vought at Dallas, Texas, USA.

    1971

    Taken on Strength/Charge with the United States Navy with BuNo 158016.

    From July 1971 to 1972

    Transferred to Attack Squadron 147 (VA-147), NAS Lemoore, CA.
    Operated with markings: NG-401, CITY of LEMOORE

    From 1971 to 1972

    Deployed aboard USS Constellation for combat in Vietnam.

    From June 1972 to 1980

    Transferred to Attack Squadron 22 (VA-22), NAS Lemoore, CA.

    From 1972 to 1974

    Deployed three times aboard USS Coral Sea for combat in Vietnam.

    1980

    Transferred to Attack Squadron 93 (VA-93), NAS Yokosuka (NAF Atsugi (and) NAF Misawa).
    VA-93, along with CVW-5 and USS Midway (CVA-41), were part of a program to permanently assign a carrier and air wing to an overseas home port. MidwayaCOs new home port was NAS Yokosuka, Japan, and the squadron would normally operate out of NAF Atsugi or NAF Misawa when the carrier was at NAS Yokosuka.

    Transferred to Attack Squadron 94 (VA-94), NAS Lemoore.

    By 1983

    Transferred to Attack Squadron 146 (VA-146), NAS Lamoroe, CA.
    NE-303.

    1984

    Transferred to Attack Squadron 97 (VA-97), NAS Lemoore, CA.
    Operated with markings: NL-302

    1986

    Markings Applied: NL-303

    March 1988

    To National Naval Aviation Museum, NAS Pensacola, Pensacola, FL.
    Only the cockpit survives here.
