    Summary: The airframe was damaged but was repairable. The domestic scheduled passenger flight departed Yangon-Mingaladon Airport (RGN/VYYY), Myanmar and was destined for Akyab Airport (AKY/VYSW), Myanmar. The hijacking occurred at unknown beach (Myanmar) while en route. Narrative: The airplane was commandeered by Karen rebels to land on a deserted beach. The intention was to use the plane to smuggle guns, but the hijackers discovered the plane was carrying some heavy metal chests, containing cash being transported between bank branches...

    Crashed.
    Summary: The airframe was written off. There were 43,024 hours on the airframe at the time. This was a cargo flight. The accident occurred at Bahar Dar Airport (BJR) (Ethiopia) while landing. Narrative: Port undercarriage collapsed on landing. Damaged beyond repair.
