    Taken out of service by Eastern Airlines after flying some 57,000 hours, equivalent to six-and-a-half years of non-stop flying.

    Transferred to a museum.

    Civil registration, N18124, cancelled.

    1 May 1963

    To Smithsonian-National Air and Space Museum.
    Presented by Captain Eddie Rickenbacker to the Smithsonian Institution, Washington, DC.

    1 July 1976
