    Transferred to Special Projects Branch, Air Force Research and Development Command (ARDC), Edwards AFB, CA.

    This aircraft served with the CIA and various reconnaissance wings.

    By 1966

    Transferred to Strategic Air Command.

    1966

    Converted to an U-2B.

    1968

    Converted to an U-2C.

    1969

    Assigned to Davis-Monthan AFB, AZ for storage.
    Flyable storage.

    1972

    Operated by unknown unit, configured for Aviation Life Support Maintenanc (ALSS).

    By May 1975

    Transferred to 100th Strategic Reconnaissance Wing (SAC), RAF Wethersfield.

    1982

    To National Museum of the United States Air Force Loan Program, Wright Field, Dayton, OH.
