    Taken on Strength/Charge with the United States Navy with BuNo 151424.

    Transferred to Fighter Squadron 92 (VF-92), Miramar NAS, CA.
    Operated with markings: NG/213.

    18 September 1962

    Redesignated as F-4B-16-MC.

    Circa 1972

    Converted to a F-4N by McDonnell Douglas at Saint Louis, Missouri, USA.

    1973

    Transferred to Fighter Squadron 151 (VF-151), San Francisco, CA.
    Operated with markings: NF/211

    11 September 1973

    Base of operations changed.
    USS Midway.

    5 October 1973

    Base of operations changed.
    NAF Atsugi, Japan.

    1 April 1975

    Base of operations changed.
    USS Midway.

    1 April 1975

    Deployed to Yankee Station in Gulf of Tonkin in support of Operation Frequent Wind (evacuation of Saigon).

    From August 1976 to September 1976

    Conducted flight operations near the Korean Peninsula following the murder of U.S. military personnel in the Korean DMZ by North Koreans. (Wikipedia).

    20 October 1977

    Transferred to the Military Aircraft Storage and Disposal Center (MASDC) with inventory number 8F00709.

    1981

    To Bobs Air Park, Tucson, AZ.
    Salvaged.

    From 1984 to 1985

    The forward fuselage section was used in the ABC television series Call to Glory when cockpit scenes of the F-4 were needed. (NMUSAF).

    Circa 1987

    To National Museum of the United States Air Force, Wright Field, Dayton, OH.
    Only the cockpit section survives here. Remaining section to AMCEP Metals, Tucson, AZ on 13 June 1990, for scrapping. (AMARC).

    Restored.
    Refurbished and marked as a USAF F-4D (S/N 66-7660) assigned to the 906th Tactical Fighter group at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. It was restored by museum volunteers and painted by members of the 906th Tactical Fighter Group. (NMUSAF).

    Markings Applied: 66-7660
