    Constructed as a B-47E-110-BW by Boeing at Wichita, KS, USA.

    By March 1953

    Taken on Strength/Charge with the United States Air Force with s/n 53-2280.

    By 1957

    Transferred to USAF Air Development Center, Wright-Patterson AFB, OH.
    Used for terrain signals and photo recon work.

    1965

    Transferred to Air Force Flight Test Center, Edwards AFB, CA.

    From 1967 to 1969

    Transferred to USAF Air Development Center, Wright-Patterson AFB, OH.

    From 1967 to 1969

    Redesignated as JB-47E-111-BW.
    Used as a test bed at Wright-Patterson AFB, OH. Was first USAF aircraft with fly-by-wire control system.

    1969

    To National Museum of the United States Air Force, Wright Field, Dayton, OH.
    Placed in storage until new building opened.

    Placed on display.
    New Museum facility opened for outside displays.

    Removed from display and stored on ramp by NMUSAF restoration hangar.
