    Taken on Strength/Charge with the United States Air Force with s/n 56-1416.

    Transferred to 4756th Air Defense Wing, Tyndall AFB, FL.

    1962

    Transferred to 57th Fighter-Interceptor Squadron, Iceland.

    On various occasions, it encountered Soviet aircraft flying reconnaissance missions over the arctic.
