    Notes: As a boy of 6-7 years old I got three posters, when I was living in Greenland, near Thule Air Base. One of the posters is this excellent photo of 52-132649 at Bien Hoa Air Base.Regards, Carl Ivar Brun, Denmark

    Struck off Strength/Charge from the United States Navy.

    May 1964

    Transferred to 1st Air Commando Squadron, 2nd Air Division, HQ Pacific Air Forces (PACAF), Bien Hoa AB, Vietnam.

    21 March 1965

    Crashed.
    Caught fire and crashed while on an interdiction mission near Can Tho, South Vietnam. Both crew perished.

    Retrieved by a CH-54 Skycrane crew.

    Transferred to Tan Son Nhut AFB.
    Repairs were carried out at Tan Son Nhut.

    January 1966

    Transferred to 1st Air Commando SQDN, 2nd Air Division (PACAF), Pleiku AB, Vietnam.

    10 March 1966

    Flown by Major Bernard Fisher rescuing downed airman, for which he received Medal of Honor.

    April 1966

    Transferred to 14th Air Commando Wing (PACAF), Nha Trang AB, Vietnam.

    March 1967

    Transferred to Pleiku AB, Vietnam.

    April 1967

    Transferred to 4410th Combat Crew Training Wing (Tactical Air Command), Pleiku AB, Vietnam.

    September 1967

    Transferred to Hurlburt Field, FL.

    1967

    Ferry flight. Delivered to United States Air Force Museum, Patterson Field (East Side), Dayton, OH.

    Struck off Strength/Charge from the United States Air Force.

    Restored.
    Markings Applied: 2, 32649, U.S. AIR FORCE 132649
    This was likely only a surface restoration, i.e. a new coat of paint.
