    Crashed.
    Summarized NTSB narrative from report number DEN80FA060: There was one fatality. Incident occurred at 09:30 hours. The damage was substantial. The flight departed from Base Camp, with the destination Landing Zone. The engine failed or malfunctioned while taking off in the vertical. Suffered a hard landing while aborting takeoff. The emergency circumstances included; forced off-airport landing on land. Incident occurred at or near Provo, UT.
