    This was a composite rebuild, with components sourced from a French scrapyard. Adopted the ID of USN 90669, which became N9801C.

    From 1980 to 1987

    To Aero Retro/J. Bourret, Saint. Rambert-DAlbon keeping c/r F-AZBL.

    June 1987

    To Aero Retro/Jacques Bourret, Saint. Rambert-DAlbon with new c/r F-WZBM.

    1987

    Converted to an A6M.
    New construction number, SAM2-669, assigned to the airframe.
    Converted to a Zero replica for movie work.

    Used in the filming of the movie Empire of the Sun.

    From September 1989 to 2020

    To Aero Retro/Christian Martin, Saint. Rambert dAlbon with new c/r F-AZBL.

    Markings Applied: 09905, 56S.4
    SNJ-5 Returned to stock military configuration. Finished in Aeronvale markings.
