    Constructed as a P-38L-5-LO by Lockheed at Burbank, California, USA.

    Circa 1944

    Taken on Strength/Charge with the United States Army Air Force with s/n 44-27183.

    1946

    Converted to a F-5G-6-LO.

    From May 1946 to 1947

    To Kargl Aerial Surveys, Midland, TX, USA with new c/r NC62441.
    Purchased as surplus directly from the Kingman depot.

    From December 1947 to 1953

    To Aero Exploration Co. Tulsa, OK, USA with new c/r N62441.

    From 2 January 1953 to 1958

    To Mark Hurd Aerial Surveys, Minneapolis, MN, USA keeping c/r N62441.

    1954

    The cockpit was lengthened to accomodate 2 seat, was pressurized and a new canopy installed. A survey nose was installed. The work was carried out by AI Research Aviation, Los Angeles, CA.

    April 1965

    To Byers Airways, Seattle, WA, USA keeping c/r N501MH.

    From 1965 to 1969
