    1974

Loaned to Pima Air and Space Museum, Tucson, AZ.

    Circa 1978

    Photographer: Unknown Photographer
Notes: This is a confusing one. This photo was allegedly taken at the Carlsbad, NM, Airshow circa 1978. According to its documented history, this Sabre was WFU in the mid/late 1960s and given to Pima in 1974, on loan from the NMUSAF Loan Program. Would Pima have trucked this jet however many miles to Carlsbad, NM, for an airshow? How did it get there is sadly a mystery. It is obviously 1970s based on the F-15 Eagle in the background.

Placed on display with Pima Air and Space Museum, Davis-Monthan AFB (South Side), Tucson, AZ.
