    Circa 1945

    Taken on Strength/Charge with the United States Army Air Force with s/n 45-49090.

    Transferred to 149th Fighter Squadron, VA ANG, Byrd Field.
    Operated with markings: VA ANG, ANG 549090
    The Virginia Air National Guard was equipped with P-47D aircraft from 1947 to 1951.

    These were the last P-47D markings the VA-ANG used.
