    Constructed as a Hurricane X by Canadian Car and Foundry at Fort William, ON, Canada.

    Taken on Strength/Charge with the Royal Air Force with s/n AE977.

    Taken on Strength/Charge with the Royal Navy with s/n AE977.

    By July 1942

    Converted to a Sea Hurricane X.
    The work was carried out in the United Kingdom.

    Badly damaged in a mid-air collision at RNAS Yeovilton. Airframe written off and placed in storage. Stored in a shed 1960-1970.

    September 1992

    To Jim Pearce, Shoreham.

    From 6 May 1994 to 25 September 2001

    To Hawker Restorations, Ipswich, Uk with new c/r G-TWTD.

    1994

    Restoration started.

    2000

    Restoration completed.

    7 June 2000

    First post-restoration Flight.

    Painted in the markings of Group Captain Douglas Bader when CO of 242Sqn in 1940.
