    Constructed as a FW 190A-8/N (replica) by Flug Werk GmbH at Gammelsdorf, Munich.
    Part of a production run of 16 airframes delivered without engines.

    To Rudy Frasca, Champaign, IL.
    Acquired as an incomplete kit.

    In the inventory of Frasca Air Museum, Frasca Field, Champaign, IL.

    From 2000 to 2004

    Reassembled.
    The work was started at Champaign, IL.

    Reassembled.
    The work was completed at Chino, CA, and included the installation of a PW R-2800 engine.

    Markings Applied: white 14, 980574
    Painted as white 14 from 14./JG 3 flown by famed German ace Oskar Bosch who shot down 18 Allied aircraft, including six B-17 and two B-24 bombers. Original c/n 980574 was Fw 190 A-9 variant.

    Competed at the National Championship Air Races in the Unlimited class. The primary pilot was Thomas L Camp from Sausalito, CA. Qualified in 22nd place with an average speed of 302.209 mph. Raced in Heat 1D. Finished in 6th place with an average speed of 279.092 mph. Started Heat 3D, but did not finish. Raced in the Medallion 2 race. Finished in 5th place with an average speed of 283.043 mph.
