    Crashed at the Houston-Lakeside Airport, TX. The pilot, Jack Barnett, perished.

    Crashed.
    There was one fatality. The accident occurred at the Lakeside Airport (586) Houston, TX, United States while on appoach. The airframe was destroyed. The pilot had purchased the wwii fighter about a week before the accident it had been flown several hours during the last few days before the accident. The pilot intended to shoot touch--gos on this flight. After takeoff the aircraft was observed to remain in the pattern the aircraft overshot the turn to final...
