    Dates

    Event

    Constructed as a L-5E.

    1944

Taken on Strength/Charge with the United States Marine Corps with BuNo 03957 as a OY-1.

There is a discrepancy among sources as to whether this aircraft was ever TOS by USAAF or just transferred to the USMC off the line. The registration is confusing by use of a false USAAF s/n based on the FY ordered and the USN BuNo.
