    Competed at the National Championship Air Races in the Sport class. The primary pilot was Bob Schmidt from Fort Worth, TX. Qualified in 8th place with an average speed of 275.498 mph. Raced in Heat 1A. Finished in 3rd place with an average speed of 278.651 mph. Started Heat 2B, but did not finish. Raced in Heat 3C. Finished in 3rd place with an average speed of 284.652 mph. Raced in the Championship race. Finished in 6th place with an average speed of 282.418 mph.
