    Struck off Strength/Charge from the Royal Canadian Navy.

    27 September 1960

    To Skyway Air Services Ltd, Langley BC with new c/r CF-KCL.
    Sold at Shearwater.

    Converted to a tanker by Skyway.

    1 August 1977

    To Forrest Protection Limited with new c/r C-FKCL.
    Purchased for $20,000.

    Operated as fire service #609.
    Used for Spruce Bud Worm spraying.

    29 May 1978

    Crashed.
    C-FKCL owned by FPL and piloted by Ken Atkins ditched in Oromocto Lake after flying out of Blissville. While executing a turn at the end of a spray line, the pilot inadvertently dipped his left wing tip into the lake and lost control. The pilot was unhurt and was later picked up by the rescue unit after swimming to shore (20 yards) and flown to Blissville airstrip. The aircraft was recovered by military personnel from CFB Gagetown and towed to shore on a barge. After recovery from the lake, C-FKCL was loaned to Air Cadet Squadron in Nackawic in 1978 for an outdoor display.

    Retrieved from the bottom of Lake Oromocto, in New Brunswick.

    1980

    To Tex Lavallee/Lavallee Cultural and Aeronautical Collection, Saint Chrysostome, QC.
    Stored on a farm.

    1986

    To Allan Rubin/International Vintage Aircraft, Hamilton, ON.
    For restoration project.

    From 1992 to 1993

    Restored.

    1996

    To Jack Kosko.

    Restored.
    Markings Applied: USS Langley, 4, 53638
    Returned to flying condition. Finished in USN markings. A turret was installed.

    9 April 2002

    Certificate of airworthiness for NX109K (TBM-3, 53638) issued.

    10 March 2003

    To Kosko Enterprises, Woodstock MD with new c/r N109K.

    July 2003

    First post-restoration Flight.

    30 January 2004

    To Mid Atlantic Air Museum, Reading, PA keeping c/r N109K.

    2 September 2004

    Certificate of airworthiness for NX109K (TBM-3, 53638) issued.

    Based at Mid-Atlantic Air Museum, Reading, PA.
