    Notes: 1972 photo at Winnipeg - When WW-II ended much of Canada was still un-mapped. To fill in the gaps many contracts were let by the Federal Govt which resulted in a proliferation of aerial survey companies. In the 1970s many of these companies and their aircraft still existed. This Questor Surveys Canso flying boat is one of the several included in this collection. Built in 1943, it is still going in the US as N287 as of 2010
