    Based with Roosevelt Field Air Museum on Long Island, NY.

    27 December 1932

    Civil registration, N11036, cancelled.

    1960

    To Smithsoniam, National Air and Space Museum, Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center, Chantilly, Reston, VA.
    Donated by the Bellanca family following the death of Giuseppe Bellanca.

    Notes: For once, I kept this shot underexposed; I like the way the light highlights the wood. This beautiful little monoplane was the prototype for the Crusairs and Pacemakers. This aircraft won two races and even hosted two marriages. Who said the Golden Age of Aviation was not the most romantic era
