    Constructed as a L-17B by Ryan.

    Circa 1948

    Taken on Strength/Charge with the United States Army with s/n 48-1030.

    June 1950

    One of 22 aircraft that left Long Beach Harbor, California for Far East Army, Japan two weeks before the start of the Korean War. Quickly uncrated, assembled and tested these aircraft were pressed into immediate service hauling supplies to Pusan, Korea prior to the Inchon landing. Later they were dispersed to different units serving as Hack and FAC aircraft.They did any number of different missions such as hauling Senior Officers and visiting VIP, delivering the mail; gunfire support missions; observation; and carrying USO supporters and entertainers.

    Transferred to 1st Calvary Division, Korea.

    4 March 1959

    Certificate of airworthiness for N4238A (NAVION A, NAV-4-1736) issued.

    Found in salvage yard in Denver, CO.

    To Thomas Gordon, Loveland, CO keeping c/r N4238A.

    Thomas Gordon spent 20 years completely rebuilding and restoration.

    1 January 2004

    Certificate of airworthiness for N4238A (NAVION A, NAV-4-1736) issued.

    To High Noon Aviation Llc, Loveland, CO keeping c/r N4238A.
